В основу предлагаемых исследований положены изученные нами разрезы четвертичных отложений Чашниковской впадины, расположенной в пределах Клинско-Дмитровской гряды на Русской равнине. Проведённые рентгенофазовый и гранулометрический анализы разновозрастных суглинков и песков позволили уточнить генезис отложений и выделить циклы осадконакопления. Выявленная цикличность отражает последовательные фазы наступания и отступания ледника, связанные с чередованием более тёплых и холодных стадий формирования ледниковых и флювиогляциальных отложений.

Our proposed research is based on the sections of Quaternary sediments of the Chashnikovo depression, located within the Klin–Dmitrov ridge on the Russian Plain, which we have studied. X-ray phase and granulometric analyses of different-aged loams and sands made it possible to clarify the genesis of sediments and identify sedimentation cycles. The revealed cyclicity reflects the successive phases of glacier advance and retreat associated with the alternation of warmer and colder stages of glacial and fluvioglacial sediment formation.
