      <abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В конце 60-х годов ХХ столетия началось движение за сохранение биосферы Земли – общего дома для человечества и вместилища всей жизни на Земле. Это движение объединило на многие годы научное сообщество разных стран. Спустя 20 лет на международном Симпозиуме «Биосфера и Человечество. История и Современность» были подведены итоги развития и продвижения в жизнь идей академика В.И. Вернадского, основоположника учения о биосфере Земли.</p></abstract>      <trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>At the end of the 1960s a movement began for the preservation of Earth&#039;s biosphere — the common home for humanity and the receptacle of all life on Earth. This movement united the scientific communities of various countries for many years. 20 years later, at the International Symposium “Biosphere and Humanity. History and Modernity” the development and promotion of the ideas of Academician V.I. Vernadsky, the founder of the Earth’s Biosphere doctrine, were summed up.</p></trans-abstract>
