Cosmic nature of life vs. the “origin” of life

The foundation and methodological basis of V.I. Vernadsky’s book “Biosphere” is his idea of the geological eternity of living matter. The concept was proven by him at a deep theoretical level, where time and space must be considered as biological notions. This allowed the scientist to describe the biosphere in planetary and cosmological terms. However, the hypotheses of chance and the “origin” of life still remain under the scrutiny of modern science. This is evidenced by the publication of comprehensive books on the failed attempts to obtain living structures by chemical means.
